About
Painting came to me unexpectedly. In June 2025 I happened upon an art class at a local cultural centre, and the quiet excitement I felt when I first picked up a brush has stayed with me ever since. In my mid-sixties — an age some would call late — I began to study painting in earnest.
Once begun, it was not easy to stop. In 2026 I gathered my courage and enrolled in the Fine Art track at Honam University's Dream Life College, where I am learning to paint again from the beginning. There is still a great deal I do not know, but the learning itself has become a real joy.
They say life begins at sixty. Leaning on that, I am setting out on a second life of my own. I came to the brush late, but I mean to go on one careful step at a time. If you would look kindly on these paintings, I would be grateful for it.
